Lots of people enquiring about becoming a foster carer are already approved foster carers with other independent agencies or for a local authority.  They may have a child in placement  or be in between placements.  Whatever your situation we would love to hear from you. 

We make the transfer to another agency as easy as possible for existing foster carers and will answer questions you have about the process involved. Foster Cares Ltd follow the Fostering Network protocol guidance of best practice to work with your existing agency and placing local authority of any children that  may be placed to ensure that the transition to goes smoothly.

As you are already a foster carer here are a few things that you will need to do:

• Before starting an assessment with us you will need to inform your current agency of your intent to transfer. Don’t worry we can explain how this all works when we speak to you.
• We will need to complete a new FF1 Assessment however we will fast track this and complete as quickly as possible, revisiting what is required so hopefully this will make the process quicker and smooth.
• Payments/allowances.  Where possible and in most cases we will match the allowances you receive from your existing agency, if you are being paid less than our foster carers then you would receive an increase to match our allowance rates.
