More learning and development for our staff and foster carers!

In March the North East and North West teams have completed training about Foetal Alcohol (FASD) Training.  The session explored the harmful effects of alcohol consumption during pregnancy, and how it can impact on children’s development.

The training sessions were attended by a diverse group of foster carers, social workers, panel members and reviewing officers.  It was facilitated by FASD Network UK which supports families caring for children with Foetal Alcohol syndrome.

During the training, FASD Network UK provided an in-depth understanding of FASD, including its causes, symptoms, and long-term effects. They also offered practical advice and strategies to our foster carers who may be looking after children with FASD.
