Creating Memories: A Fun Start to the Year!

It has been a fun and lively start to the year here at Foster Cares Ltd, filled with meaningful memories that brought our children, carers, and staff together.

World Book Day

World Book Day, is always a favourite of ours. It was lovely to see so many of our foster families and even our staff’s own children getting involved by dressing up as their favourite book characters. From classic storybook heroes to modern favourites, it was a reminder of how much fun reading can be and how important it is to celebrate it. Days like this are about more than just fancy dress, they are about giving children the chance to express themselves and be proud of who they are. Moments like this create lasting memories – fun, positive experiences that stay with children for years to come.

Trampoline Party

Another highlight this year was our trampoline party. This one was extra special because the idea came from the children themselves. After last year’s Halloween party, we asked what they fancied doing next -and they said trampolining.

It was a great day packed with laughter, lots of bouncing, and big smiles. We always try to make sure our children help shape what we do, and this was a perfect example of that in action.

Giving children a say is an important part of making them feel heard, and events like this show just how valuable that can be.

Looking Ahead

We are already looking ahead to our next activity and will be checking in with our children again soon to see what they fancy doing next.

Events like these remind us of what fostering is really about. It is not just about providing a safe place – it is about building memories, creating moments of joy, and helping children feel truly seen and heard.

We are looking forward to the next few months, with more plans on the horizon and our 25th anniversary celebrations which take place during Fostering Fortnight.
