Anne Sherry has been the heart and soul of Foster Cares Ltd for over 24 years. As she enters her well-deserved retirement from being a foster carer, we want to express our deepest gratitude for her dedication and the profound impact she has had on countless lives throughout her fostering journey!
At our recent fostering fortnight event, we had the honour of presenting Anne with flowers from our owners, Dave and Lil who personally thanked her, in recognition of her years of service and dedication. Anne’s contributions have been invaluable, and she will be greatly missed by our team and the children she has looked after.
Anne’s career as a foster carer with us has been marked by an exceptional commitment to caring for children and young people from all walks of life. Her wealth of experience and compassion has touched the lives of many, spanning different ages, backgrounds, and diverse needs. Anne not only brought her nurturing spirit to each child she cared for but has been a valued member of our fostering family.
One of Anne’s greatest gifts is her ability to see beyond behaviours and view every child as an individual. She provided them with support and guidance to reach their full potential. Her resilience and understanding of their complex needs have made a lasting difference in their lives. Many of the young people she cared for have gone on to thrive, thanks to Anne’s unconditional love and support.
Beyond her fostering role, Anne is a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Anne also is local author, having self-published several children’s books inspired by her fostering experiences. She is hoping to continue writing and publishing more books throughout her retirement.
As Anne begins this new chapter in her life, we wish her nothing but the best. Her legacy of kindness will continue to resonate within our fostering family and the wider community for many years to come.
Thanks for everything and good luck for the future!
Lots of Love
